Additionally, run-off from old mine dams (and some recently mined and reclaimed surface mines) and accumulated acid mine drainage (AMD) generates contamination with serious environmental side effects. Treating AMD involves neutralising the acid and precipitating out ions. Cominergy has the expertise and technology to treat this water with solutions such as desalination, brine concentration and evaporation and crystallisation.
